Babygator began at home — during those quiet evenings that never quite went to plan.

Like many parents, we learned quickly that our babies could drift off peacefully while held, soothed by the steady reassurance of touch. But the moment we stepped away, that calm would break. And we'd begin the cycle again. Sleep became fragmented, not restorative. 

We weren’t looking for a “sleep solution”. We were looking for continuity — a way for our babies to continue to feel comforted and reassured after we’d left their side.

As we explored what already existed, we found products that sat at extremes. Most prioritised cheap production over quality, using unsustainable materials that felt at odds with the responsibility of caring for a baby. Others were over-engineered, or relied on design that felt clumsy rather than considered.

What was missing was balance — something carefully and sustainably made and grounded in how babies actually settle.

So we set out to create it ourselves.

Our products are shaped by an understanding of how babies respond to calm, consistent sensory cues — and how important it is for those cues to feel natural, not imposed.

Every design choice we make is intentional: from the materials we select, to how baby reacts when it’s worn. Nothing is excessive. Nothing is incidental.

Our goal is simple: to create a reassuring sense of presence, without disruption.
